Art is a state of MIND.

Wild Idaho Rose is the collection of artworks by Rose Graham.

Often I find people will put others in boxes, such as this person is a painter or sculpture, so they can be easily identified.  That framework of expectations is very limiting and almost domesticating the artist. To me, I like my artistic freedom, nice and wild.

The tools and mediums an artist use to express themselves and their feelings, are just tools and materials.

I enjoy exploring the many different types of tools and materials, such as traditional painting, mixed media and photography. Inspirations come to me both naturally and other artistic challenges presented to me, especially by my local artist community. My current works focus on the “wild” Idaho, specifically the Moscow Region and exploring what it means to be “wild”, in a fun way.

I am a long time resident of Moscow, Idaho, in the Palouse area of the Northwest. In my previous life, I worked for the University of Idaho as the Copy and Print Center Manager for Creative Services, have a B.S. in Visual Communications and a M.S. in Adult Education and Organizational Leadership from the University of Idaho.

I am currently a member of the Palouse Women Artist (PWA) group and a graduate of the Idaho Commission on the Arts, My Artrepreneur Program™, 2022.

The Palouse is a very special place.  The beauty of the land with the rhythm of the seasons creates endless moments of inspiration for me. The communities are deeply engaging and supportive of the arts through the many artistic opportunities such as art-walks, events and celebrations in the local region.

As my website displays the many different tools, materials and concepts, a theme of fun and color are trademark features of my work.
