“Sum of Our Parts” is a look at how unlike things really do fit into a bigger picture. My collage work is my great, great, grandmother, Mrs. Barton, an original oil painting from the 1800’s, and a collection of diary entries, items commonly inherited and communications of today’s world. Back in the day, people took their time to focus on who and what they wanted to say, spelled words correctly, used correct grammar in hand writing. Now, we text incorrect grahmor, mis-spill check wards and chat with complete strangers across the world. Progress?
